Laura joined East Coast Asset Management (ECAM) as a Client Service Specialist in January, 2012 after working on special projects for ECAM in 2011. Since joining, Laura has reactivated her CFP® license, which was initially obtained in 1993.
Prior to joining ECAM, Laura was an active member of the Hamilton, MA community, where she currently resides, a volunteer for the Hamilton-Wenham public school system, as well as a full-time mother to her only child, a son, who is now a student at Cornell University.
Laura graduated from Barnard College with a BA in Biology and Economics. She has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, with the majority of those years as a Vice President and Shareholder of Kidder, Peabody & Company in New York, where she oversaw the structuring, marketing and closing of bond issuances for public housing authorities as well as the securitization and closing of asset-backed securities.
After relocating to the Boston area in 1990, Laura studied at Boston University and obtained her CFP® license while participating in the American Express Financial Advisors training program. At the training program she met Ben Favazza, who went on to co-found ECAM later in his career. It was this prior connection which gave Laura the opportunity to re-enter the workforce after being a full-time mother and volunteer since leaving the training program.
