John Slupski, CFP®, MBA

John is a Senior Managing Director and Principal of East Coast Asset Management. He has more than fifteen years of experience providing comprehensive and highly personalized financial and investment planning advice to individuals, families and charitable organizations. His areas of expertise include goals-based retirement planning, tax reduction, estate planning, family legacy planning and asset protection. He also conducts mutual fund and ETF research for East Coast.

Prior to joining East Coast, John built his client practice over a decade at Wingate Financial Group. He also provided investment research for the firm, including recommended asset allocation changes to the firm’s model portfolios, as well as researching mutual funds and separate account managers for use in client portfolios. Previously, he spent eight years at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, primarily in product management and new product development.

John received his MBA with high honors from Boston University in 2001. He graduated from Boston University cum laude in 1990 with a BA in Political Science and a BS in Journalism. His professional designations include Certified Financial PlannerTM and Chartered Mutual Fund CounselorTM.  He has been a guest lecturer at Boston University on the subject of Retirement Planning and is an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). As a member of the FPA, he has advocated for stronger consumer protections for financial planning clients in Congress and the Massachusetts legislature.
